    The Department of Mathematics at NYIT invites applications for a one-year Visiting position at the rank of Assistant Professor to start on 9/1/2024. The candidate must have received a Ph.D. in any branch of Mathematics/Applied Mathematics/Statistics before joining date. Primary teaching responsibilities will be located at the New York City (Manhattan) campus.





    Responsibilities



    Candidate is required to teach 21 credit hours for the academic year. Courses assigned includes all pre-calculus, calculus service courses and other advanced courses in candidate's area of specialization. Additional responsibilities include curriculum development.





    Qualifications



    A doctoral degree in Mathematics/Applied Mathematics/Statistics is required. Candidate must demonstrate excellent teaching and preferably have prior teaching experience at a university employing pedagogical strategies. Preference will be given to those candidates with a record of scholarly activities.

New York Tech considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate experience/expertise, education/training, key skills, geographic location, internal peer equity as well as market, organizational considerations and/or applicable collective bargaining agreement when extending an offer.





    Minimum Salary



    USD $75,000.00/Yr.



    Maximum Salary



    USD $80,000.00/Yr.
