Clinical Laboratory Scientist CLS

The Clinical Laboratory Scientist will perform authorized laboratory tests and examinations which provide the clinical staff with data for the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of various conditions. The CLS participates in data collection and analysis, implementation of Laboratory policies and procedures, and maintenance of Laboratory equipment; and performs other duties as assigned.

Working knowledge of the preparation of specimens; various laboratory disciplines, tests and procedures including chemical, physical, microscopic, microbiological, bacteriological, serological, hematological, immunological, and other related disciplines and laboratory tests; automated information systems used in clinical laboratory settings. General knowledge of clinical laboratory quality control and assurance procedures, protocols, and standards; and state and federal regulations pertaining to the operation of a clinical laboratory.

Qualifications:

• CA CLS Clinical Laboratory Technologist license is required. ASCP registration or equivalent desirable
• Completion of a clinical laboratory internship required.
• ASCP certification (will consider candidates that are eligible)
