    Job DescriptionPrimary Responsibilities/Essential FunctionsPolicies, Procedures, Accounting Norms and ComplianceAnalyzes all commercial accounts, ledgers and reporting systems for the cotton platform commercial closeIdentifies improvements over commercial trade accounting data and control procedures and implements improvements identified by managementPerform special projects as requestedTrade Accounting and Financial Reporting ActivitiesPerforms and reviews commercial margin analysis; summarizes monthly analyses, quarterly, and annual trading margin resultsPerforms the compilation of monthly cash flow projections and assists in troubleshooting issues, as neededComplete market valuations testing based on management parameters for the monthly closeComplete quarterly valuation back-testingPrepare and reconcile daily position reportingExecution of the daily P&L process for Cotton.

    Analyze cotton financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner to cotton platform management; clearly communicate daily activity and P&L driversAssist in the reconciliation of the daily P&L to month-end accounting results for each profit center and assist with unreconciled itemsPerform a detailed review by profit center of mark-to-market, cut-offs, and position for inclusivenessAssist in completing commercial margin budget by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; recommending plansPerform/review budget to actual variance for commercial marginPerform/review monthly CTM entries and reconciliationsPerform/review monthly trade reconciliationsProvide ad hoc support/reporting to commercial teams for commercial analysesProfessional DevelopmentPursues continuous improvement through expanding of industry/company knowledge, training opportunities and taking on additional responsibilities#LIHybridQualificationsEducation/Professional Certifications/LicensesBachelor's Degree required.

    Business/Economic/Finance background preferred.


    ExperienceThe following are the basic qualifications:2+ years of progressive accounting or finance experienceAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft ExcelThe following are preferred qualifications:Experience with International Financial Reporting StandardsRelevant experience with mark-to-market accounting and trading positions within a commodity trading firmCPAAdditional InformationKnowledge/Skills/Abilities (including any physical demands)Strong computer skills, especially Excel and Word programs.

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
