    What is the roleThe Infrastructure Design Engineer will design, perform cost estimates, and engineer electric vehicle charging infrastructure solutions in a fast-paced, growing environment.

    Candidates for this role should be proficient with Bluebeam or equivalent, adherence to federal, state, municipal design and engineering standards, standards development, project scope, overall designs and quality reviews.

    Candidates should be capable of providing a high level of technical competence in the following areas:
    overall solution design, research and development to support new standards development, and troubleshooting.

    Competence in the following professional skills is also paramount for the successful candidate:

    comfort and experience with working remotely, peer leadership, oral communication skills, written communication skills, collaboration across functions and forge consensus among a diverse group, and the capacity to represent the organization in various forums.

    ResponsibilitiesConstruction Estimation functions, including the development and maintenance of internal estimating tools and databasesPreparation of Site Layout and customer facing proposals from customer requirementsPreparation of functional one-lines, AC & DC elementary drawings and wiring diagramsPreparation and review of panel arrangements, enclosure, and solution layoutsPreparation of written philosophy and functional description documents of protection, installation, control, and overall layout schemesResearch and prepare technical specifications for electric vehicle charging equipmentInterpretation of vendor documents and drawingsManagement of RFP/RFI processes from vendors and partnersReview and approve vendor drawings and technical specifications for new equipmentProvide guidance to the project design team during scope development and design processProvide construction coordination and support with field personnelSupport Engineering team to accomplish unit goals and objectivesExpected to be capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting expected deadlines.

    This role is a virtual position based in the USThe base salary rage for this role is $122,000 - $182,000 per year.

    Individual pay will be based on various factors, such as relevant work experience, education, certification, skill level, seniority, and internal equity.


    What we need from youRequirements:

    Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basisMust have Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or SimilarMinimum of 5+ years relevant experienceExperience designing electrical and civil project permit packages.
