- Lead and/or assist on bids up to $500K
- Reviews plans for consistency and accuracy
- Develops bid lists
- Manages take offs and apply unit prices
- Understands typical scopes (writing scopes and level bids)
- Understanding of construction process
- Manages pre-bid RFI process
- Levels/scopes trades (finishes and specialties) as part of a bid team on a larger project for GC/CM
- Understanding of unit prices
- Maintains current unit price and historical database
- Develops subcontractor/vendor relationships
- Provides coverage in the Call Center when needed and manages coverage on projects
- Previous experience in the construction industry (internship experience)
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering or Architecture
- Resourcefulness and ability to track down information quickly and accurately
- Ability to learn quickly and prepare estimates in the proprietary format
- Maintains high level of professionalism at all levels
- Cost management skills
- Excellent written/oral communication and presentation skills
- Commitment to detail and strong sense of urgency
- Outstanding customer service skills
