    Dynamic and fast-growing Marketing and Media company seeking candidates to join our accounting department as an Accountant. This is a full-time position supporting assigned business units with all Accounting functions in an enterprise, multiple-company organization. The Accountant is expected to process a large volume of work in a deadline driven environment with a "roll up your sleeves" type attitude. They will play a role in the posting of journal entries, supporting month-end and year-end financial close process, bank reconciliations, account analysis, bank reconciliations, financial statement preparation and more.

    The Position

    Responsibilities of the Accountant role include:
    • Perform and support the financial reporting needs of the assigned divisions and related executives.
    • Prepare journal entries, analysis, and account reconciliations and assist with monthly close process.
    • Maintain financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
    • Respond to information requests, review financial statements, and assist with audits.
    • Cross-train in all areas of accounting including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Accounting and Finance.
    Experience and Skills
    Qualified candidates for the Accountant role should have the following skills and experience:
    • BA/BS degree from an accredited college/university in accounting or equivalent experience
    • 2+ years of prior accounting work experience preferred
    • Working knowledge of GAAP
    • Highly organized and detail-oriented
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Ability to prioritize and multitask while working in a fast paced environment
    • Experience using automated accounting software a plus
    • Knowledge of standard accounting procedures
    • Intermediate to advanced level proficiency in Microsoft Excel
