    Are you dedicated to promoting workplace safety and wellness? We're in search of a talented Environmental Health & Safety Specialist to join our team on a one-year contract, supporting operations in both East and West Kootenay, BC.

    Our office is located in Cranbrook, BC.

    This role will be a one-year contract and working closely with both our operational and corporate teams.

    The EHS Specialist will ensure that safety is at the top of the mind for all team members and at the forefront of all daily activities.

    Knowledge of health and safety legislation for BC
    ~ Must have a strong focus on National Safety Code compliance, ensuring our fleet and drivers adhere to regulatory standards.
    ~ Post- Secondary Certificate or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
    ~ NCSO (National Construction Safety Officer) or MSO (Manufacturing Safety Officer) designation
    ~ Class 5 License and willingness to travel throughout the Kootenays as required.
    ~ Conduct onsite inspections to evaluate safe work practices.
    ~ Maintain a culture of safety excellence throughout the assigned area.
    ~ Assist and support in the investigation process and determining root causes and corrective actions with support from Regional EHS team.
    ~ Review, classify and report on injuries, property damages, and environmental events.
    ~ Assist and maintain training requirements including new and existing employees.
