Senior Accountant

Our client is looking for a Senior Accountant with expertise in reconciliations to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a passion for streamlining processes. This role will be pivotal in addressing a significant backlog of reconciliations, identifying solutions, and implementing efficient processes to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Overview of Senior Accountant role:

• Manage and reconcile a substantial backlog of accounts efficiently and accurately.
• Analyze discrepancies and variances, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify root causes of reconciliation issues and develop solutions.
• Streamline reconciliation processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Review and analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement.
• Determine the appropriate frequency and schedule for reconciliations based on business needs.

Preferred qualifications of the Senior Accountant:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field a plus.
• Previous experience in accounting or finance roles, with a focus on reconciliations.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
• Proven ability to manage a high volume of reconciliations efficiently and accurately.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and experience with process improvement initiatives
