Position Summary:
The Director of Nursing, Women's Services is responsible for the oversight of the hospital's family birth center, including post-partum, labor and delivery, neonatal intensive care unit, and the clinical operations of the Women's Specialty Clinic.
Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the position is responsible for overall leadership, daily management, and direction for the service line providing strategic direction and leadership.
Serves as a resource to manage daily operations of clinical staffing for the Family Birth Center and NICU, with the expectation of assisting leaders with planning, directing, organizing, monitoring and staffing the department subject to policies, budgets, objectives and directives mandated by regulatory agencies, and the health system administrative team.
Develops and implements patient care policies that are based on evidence and best practice standards and comply with regulatory requirements.
As new nursing knowledge and innovations in practice advance, leads their application into practice and ensures standardized implementation across the department by working closely and in collaboration with other department nurse leaders and educators.
