- Support GE plant Engineering technical offers to bids
- Convert project contractual documents into plant engineering requirements
- Define plant engineering planning and cost estimation for tendering offers
- In collaboration with Engineering teams, lead plant engineering aspect of HVDC Substation including HVDC and HVAC One line diagrams, plans and layouts
- Coordinate above actions within the department and with key technical experts
- Control plant engineering projects execution technical quality, schedule, and budgets
- Review all the projects design and gate reviews
- Lead the development of optimized substation and HVDC technical solutions/ templates, design books and design automation.
- As a region plant engineering subject matter expert, manage plant engineering knowledge (technical community, design books/templates, return of experiences capitalization...)
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum of 8 years' experience in Transmission & Distribution substation engineering for electric utilities and renewable energy power plants and projects experience as an Electrical Project Engineer in substation type applications, including primary (outdoor) substation design and required studies.
- Strong knowledge on High Voltage substation international standards & guidelines (IEEE & ANSI standards and codes such as the NEC and the NESC.) , local Grid Codes and related equipment (safety, application, sizing and integration)
- Strong knowledge on contract and project management, Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC), or Engineering equipment package (EEP) project execution
- Strong understanding of onshore civil engineering and offshore platform design and requirements
