    America's Leading ornament manufacturer and a family-owned business since 1976 that designs and creates handcrafted ornaments, keepsakes, and gifts for the white house historical society and the military is in search of an experienced Accounting Specialist.

    SUMMARY:

    The Accounting Specialist is responsible for managing various financial tasks, including compiling royalty payments, supporting the Controller, and interacting with Operations, Purchasing, Sales, and Marketing departments as needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent communication skills, and experience using the EPICOR ERP system.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    1. Compile and process royalty payment calculations, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
    2. Support the Controller in various financial tasks, including budget preparation, financial reporting, and financial analysis.
    3. Interact with Operations, Purchasing, Sales, and Marketing departments to ensure accurate and complete financial data and provide assistance as needed.
    4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger accounts, journal entries, and reconciliations.
    5. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely processing and accurate record-keeping.
    6. Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures, as well as internal controls.
    7. Utilize the EPICOR ERP system for financial data entry, reporting, and analysis.
    8. Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analyses as required by management.
    9. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations, and stay updated on changes in legislation.
    Requirements:
    1. Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
    2. At least 2-3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
    3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
    4. Proficiency in the EPICOR ERP system and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
    5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with various departments.
    6. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
