    Qualifications

    Required Education:

    B.S. in Molecular Biology or related field.

    Required Experience:

    Two years of experience in Protein expression, PCR, nucleic acid biology.

    Preferred Education:

    Masters in Molecular Biology or related field.

    Required Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    Ability to communicate effectively orally and written.

    Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.

    Familiarity with appropriate laboratory and/or technical equipment.
    Ability to effectively utilize a computer and applicable software to create databases, perform statistical analyses, present data and perform other computer related tasks.

    **POSITION CONTINGENT ON AVAILABILITY OF GRANT FUNDING**

    Job Responsibilities

    40% Perform protein expression and purification.
    20% Develop nucleic constructs for site-specific mutagenesis of amino acids in proteins.

    25% Perform AFM and AFM-IR analysis of protein aggregates.
    10% Analyze data, write manuscripts.

    5% Performs other duties as assigned.
