Field Application Engineer - Seattle, United States - LHH

Description

LHH is currently seeking a skilled Field Application Engineer on behalf of our client. This role involves providing customer engineering and development support, collaborating with Sales, Product Development, and Marketing teams to identify new customer targets and markets. The Field Application Engineer will liaise with various internal teams such as Engineering, Quality, Project Management, and Customer Service to address customer needs and ensure timely resolution of issues. Candidates must sit in California, Washington, or Oregon.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Cultivate relationships with key design influencers at selected accounts.
• Support Field Sales in strategizing for increased business volume.
• Promote company products and assist customers in selecting suitable parts.
• Design components and assemblies, with computer-generated designs as needed.
• Assist in investigating potential engineering and quality issues.
• Maintain an organized inventory of product literature and samples.
• Communicate effectively with factory personnel.
• Provide prototype samples when required.
• Gather competitive data and report to Sales and Marketing.
• Represent the Company positively in the marketplace.
• Control expenses appropriately.
• Provide feedback on market conditions and trends.
• Proficiency in CAD Software, with SolidWorks experience as a plus.

Job Requirements:

• BS degree in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering required. Master's degree is advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electro/mechanical assembly design.
• Minimum 5 years in sales/applications engineering for Electronic OEM design.
• Flexible schedule and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to approximately 40% of the time, both domestically and internationally.
