    Description
    Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician

    Company: Healthcare Solutions Inc.

    Job Summary: Responsible for the preparation and assembly of medical and surgical supplies, instrumentation, and equipment, maintaining sterile processing areas, and distributing surgical supplies and equipment within the facility.

    Job Duties:
    • Support the organization's mission, vision, and values.
    • Follow protocols for cleaning, decontaminating, preparing, packaging, disinfecting, or sterilizing medical supplies.
    • Distribute supplies from sterile processing areas as needed.
    • Adhere to standard precautions and use personal protective equipment.
    • Follow safety procedures when handling cleaning solutions and equipment.
    • Operate equipment in sterile processing areas safely.
    • Monitor and document results of indicators for sterilizers.
    • Prepare and distribute surgical case carts as per physician's lists.
    • Inventory and restock materials for sterile processing services.
    • Comply with organizational policies and professional guidelines.
    • Exhibit professional interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Assist in improving the quality of sterile processing services.
    • Assist in identifying evidence for establishing benchmarks.
    • Maintain privacy and confidentiality of health information.
    • Perform physical work including lifting and moving patients.
    • Have basic computer skills for educational requirements.
    • Perform other assigned duties by supervision.
    Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

    Training and Experience: Preferred: One year of sterile processing experience. Required within two years of employment: Central Supply Processing Department Technician (CSPDT), or Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) certification, Certified Instrument Specialist (CIS) certification.

    Essentials:
    1. Must report to work fit for duty and free of any adverse effects of substances.
    2. Effective communication skills orally and in writing.
