Position: Quality Inspector

HL Uriman Inc. supply tire/wheel assemblies to an OEM. As part of the HL Group, our goal is 100% customer satisfaction with best in quality and service.

This position requires schedule flexibility and the ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.

General Responsibilities but not limited to:

§ Analyze manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance product quality, increase efficiency, and reduce defects.

§ Investigate quality issues or failures to determine the root causes and develop corrective and preventive actions to address underlying problems.

§ Maintain accurate records of quality tests, inspections, and audits, as well as documentation of quality procedures, standards, and specifications.

§ Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials and components, including conducting supplier audits and implementing quality agreements.

§ Ensure compliance with relevant quality standards, regulations, and industry requirements, such as ISO / IATF standards, and customer-specific requirements.

§ Work closely with other departments, such as Maintenance, Production, and Inventory, to address quality issues, implement quality improvements, and ensure alignment with overall business objectives.

§ Conduct inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to identify defects or deviations from quality standards.

Qualifications:

§ Must have strong oral and written communication skills.

§ Effective interpersonal skills with management team, employees, and business partners in a competent, productive manner.

§ Bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, or other related engineering field (work experience in lieu of education will be considered)

§ Must be able to work on feet or sit for long hours.

§ Computer skills in Excel.

Preferred:

§ Proficiency in statistical tools and techniques for data analysis, such as statistical process control.

§ Familiarity with quality tools and methodologies, including FMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow etc.

§ Ability to identify root causes of quality issues, conduct root cause analysis, and develop effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
