    Description

    Agent of Change is a boutique public relations firm that provides strategic communications services to leading brands and innovative tech companies in emerging sectors such as fintech, sustainability, defense tech, blockchain and healthcare. We are currently looking for a motivated individual to join our growing team as an intern. Our ideal candidate will have an interest in PR, communications, storytelling, social media and a general interest in startups and technology companies. The right candidate will be driven, entrepreneurial in spirit and able to thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. S/he will be empowered to work autonomously on projects while also being a crucial and contributing member of the larger team.

    Core Responsibilities:

    • Drafting clear and concise content including briefing documents, backgrounders and other communications materials
    • Building out media lists for business, tech, health, transportation, sustainability (and more) verticals
    • Conducting comprehensive research and competitive analyses for existing and prospective clients
    • Identifying relevant conferences, awards and thought leadership opportunities for clients
    • Monitoring media coverage daily and creating client-facing coverage reports
    • Participating and taking detailed notes during weekly client meetings
    • Staffing client events

    Requirements

    • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
    • Strong attention to detail, proactive attitude and understanding/grasp of urgency
    • Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently
    • Quick learner, creative thinker, problem solver and team player

    For New York City roles:

    The hourly rate for this role is $20.00 per hour. In addition, we offer a $2,000 bonus after completion of the program and a competitive benefits package.
