Tracey Road Equipment, Inc., an established and growing organization in the construction equipment and heavy-duty truck industry, is currently seeking a Janitor/Custodian for our East Syracuse location.
This work schedule is Monday-Thursday from 10:30am-7:00pm. Attendance is a critical function of this role.
Responsibilities Include:
- The first portion of the day is focused on general cleaning of the administrative offices including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, emptying trash, wiping down surfaces, etc.
- The second portion of the day is focused on general cleaning of the service facility including but not limited to sweeping, running the floor cleaner, emptying trash, etc.
- Tackling heavy cleaning jobs within the service bays - including scrubbing grease and grime areas - to maintain cleanliness in an industrial style space.
- Maintaining sanitary and clean restrooms.
- The ability to keep supply areas stocked, track supply levels and to notify proper contact when supplies are running low.
- Mix and dispose of all cleaning solutions/products properly.
Experience:
- Prior experience in the janitorial field is preferred.
- Ability to walk, bend, push, pull and lift repetitively during working hours.
- Self-motivated and has the ability to identify and complete tasks without constant direct supervision.
Physical Requirements:
- Use of various facilities and repair tools/equipment.
- Prolonged periods walking, being on your feet.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at a time.
