    POSITION SUMMARY:

    Responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance, performance and management of the Quality Management System to ensure compliance with all external requirements including ISO 9001 and any other customer specific requirements through the adoption of quality and lean tools to increase the departmental effectiveness and efficiency.

    Reports to the General Manager but collaborates closely with the Core Process Owners and team members.

    Indirectly reports to OSI Director, Quality Assurance

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and manage the quality team by guiding, developing, coaching, counseling, disciplining on a consistent basis by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing company policies and procedures.
  • Lead efforts when hiring employees related to quality functions, ensuring position requirements and competency requirements are met.
  • Ensure required training for Quality personnel is established, performed, documented, and maintained.
  • Ensure quality processes are developed, managed, and maintained.
  • Interpret codes, standards, customer requirements as needed.
  • Interface with customers, suppliers, and auditors as required.
  • Attend project kickoff and or pre job meetings as required.
  • Ensure all required Quality documentation is established, managed, and maintained, including but not limited to: Quality Manuals, Work Procedures, Process Maps, Work Instructions, Forms, Etc.
  • Schedule and facilitate all internal, external, customer, supplier, and registrar audits, ensuring each is performed per the relevant requirements.
  • Coordinate with all departments to assist with the assurance of customer satisfaction internally and externally, as it relates to processes, services, and products provided to drive improvement activity that will promote the long-term interest of the business.
  • Interpret changes to industry standards and communicate these changes to the organization as appropriate.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing as required when qualifying and or performing audits to qualify, maintain, and manage suppliers.
  • Ensure that Goals, Objectives, and Key Performance Indicators/Process Measures are established and are all measurable.
  • Track and report the facilities top level goals and objectives, ensuring appropriate measures are communicated with the organization as appropriate.
  • Insure that all NCRs, CARs, and PARs are effectively resolved and in a timely manner.
  • Facilitate Quality Management Reviews and ensure each is performed in accordance to the requirements of the applicable standards.
  • Responsible for the development and managing departmental budgets and cost/spending.
  • Work with all Contract Development/Sales groups during the bid phase to ensure compliance to all Quality related customer specifications.
  • Ensure that all personnel have access to the latest revisions and or editions of Codes, Standards, and documents that could affect the quality of our products and or services.
  • Participate, lead, and or assist in developing Root Cause Analysis teams as required. Improve business performance by identifying key areas for business improvement, lead and sponsor improvement projects ensuring that the department has an active continuous improvement plan to improve performance.
  • Assist in developing risk assessments, along with risk mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Manage and maintain metrological instrument calibration function, including the inspection, repair and re-calibration of the instruments, as well as maintenance of the instrument calibration records. Ensure that any gages found out of tolerance when calibrated are evaluated for the effect on the product accepted.
  • Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by implementing, maintaining, and aligning company policies that adhere to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations.
  • Promote a team atmosphere.
  • Perform accurate and precise employee evaluations/appraisals.
  • Willing to travel as required.
  • Other assigned duties and responsibilities as required.
  • QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :

  • Bachelor's degree or 5 to 8 years' combination of education and experience in Quality Management or related field.
  • 5 years supervisory/managing experience of Quality Assurance personnel preferred.
  • Familiar with requirements of ISO 9001 and industry standards related to manufacturing in the oil and gas industry.
  • Background in molded products, welding, coating, machining, and NDE processes a plus.
  • Auditor qualifications.
  • Familiar with Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) techniques.
  • Knowledge/skills to lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) teams.
  • Ability to positively motivate individuals and teams to meet or exceed project expectations.
  • Strong planning, organizational, analytical and communication skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills, Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
