    THE JOB
    This is a Director of Surgical Services position.

    As a Director of Surgical Services your roles and responsibilities will include:

    Establishes and enforces policies, procedures, standards and objectives.
    Directs and supervises staff as well as workflow. Position has budgetary or fiscal accountability.

    Responsible 24 hours a day for the ongoing effective operation of the assigned Nursing department by exerting a leadership role which supports the hospitals mission, vision, goals and objectives, while focusing on the patients, physicians, employees, volunteers and the community as customers.

    Ongoing accountability for the continuous assessment, improvement, coordination and integration of the department services and standards of care into the hospitals primary function.

    Position is responsible for approving timekeeping, employee evaluation, meeting applicable regulatory standards, approving supply orders and department strategic planning.


    DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE


    Most Importantly, You Need To Be a Passionate Director Of Surgical Services Who Enjoys His Work And Is Considered To Be One Of The Best Within Your Organization.

    The Ideal Director Of Surgical Services Would Be Someone With Deep Experience In Many (if Not All) Of The Following

    Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Management or related field, or equivalent minimum experience requirements.
    Current Arizona Registered Nurse License.

    For Wound Care:
    Trainilng in wound care and hyperbaric therapy from a nationally recognized provider.
    Successful mastery of nursing skills and knowledge related to a Patient Care Coordinator position.
    Previous experience or demonstrates skills in leadership and management
    Five years experience in nursing management in a hospital setting with three years supervisory experience required.
