    SUMMARY

    This is a key position within our plant that partners with operations and Human Resources to provide functional support and cross trains in several key office functions including human resources, customer service, and accounting.

    Key Responsibilities and Functions:

    • Working with suppliers and HR to onboard temp/contract employees
    • Participate in recruiting for hourly positions as needed onsite.
    • Human Resources administration assistance: Assist with and provide guidance to employees with benefits questions/assistance such as FMLA, tracking PTO, highlighting attendance issues, processing new hires. completing payroll for hourly employees
    • Process incoming / outgoing mail.
    • Answer telephones in a courteous manner, routes calls, take messages, answers routine inquiries and provides general information, greets, and directs visitors.
    • Provides high level of customer service and assistance to vendors and employees.
    • Communicate in person and through correspondence with high professionalism to vendors, customers, and senior leadership.
    • Process payroll for hourly and temp employees.
    • Assist with month end reporting.
    • Run and analyze production and commission reports.
    • Close job orders.
    • Support plant with general office duties and special projects.
    • Ad hoc duties as required.

    Required Experience:

    • Minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing environment
    • Demonstrated experience in Human Resources and Operations will be required.
    • Extensive technical skills with MS Office Suite: Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
    • Must be motivated and willing to learn new tasks.
    • Demonstrated ability to exercise confidentiality.
    • High school diploma required.
    • College degree preferred in business, communications, HR field.

    Other Physical Requirements

    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, an individual is regularly required to reach with hands and arms, talk and hear, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.

    While performing essential functions, this role occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat and/or cold, risk of electric shock, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

    Able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed (steel toe shoes, safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, etc.).
