- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute strategic plans in alignment with the chamber's mission and objectives, driving innovation and growth.
- Collaboration and Partnership: Forge strategic partnerships and collaborations with other organizations, businesses, and institutions to enhance the chamber's impact and reach.
- Membership Development: Oversee membership recruitment, retention, and engagement strategies to ensure the chamber's continued success and relevance.
- Financial Management: Manage the chamber's budget, financial resources, and fundraising efforts to support operational sustainability and growth.
- Program Management: Direct the implementation of the chamber's key initiatives, including the NorthSideWorks workforce development program, marketing and tourism endeavors, and public safety efforts.
- Event Planning: Oversee the successful planning and execution of approximately 20 networking events and 4 signature events per year
- Advocacy and Representation: Serve as the primary spokesperson and advocate for the Northside business community, representing the chamber's interests to local, state, and regional stakeholders.
- Team Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to chamber staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work culture.
- Marketing and Communications: Oversee the chamber's marketing and communication strategies, ensuring effective promotion of chamber programs, events, and member benefits.
- Proven track record of successful leadership, strategic planning, and organizational management.

Overview:
The Northside North Shore Chamber of Commerce is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to serve as Executive Director. Reporting to a volunteer governing Board of Directors, this individual will spearhead the chamber's mission to promote, connect, and support the Northside business community, fostering economic growth and community development.
The Chamber has experienced immense growth over the past 6 years. Membership has almost quadrupled to 380 while growing to a team of 3 full-time staff members. The Board of Directors and Chamber staff have worked diligently to transform from an events-driven to an issues-based organization. Initiatives in workforce development, marketing and tourism, and public safety are being addressed by the Board and Chamber members. At the same time, networking and signature events are attracting record numbers of attendees, with the "Coffee & Contacts" morning networking events attracting 70+ attendees each month. The Chamber continues to become an important part of the Northside business environment for small and large businesses alike.
The Executive Director will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the Northside North Shore Chamber of Commerce, driving initiatives that support the prosperity and vitality of the Northside business community. Workplace Environment:
The Northside/Northshore Chamber Office is located in the main Northside Business district. The Chamber Office staff operate on a hybrid schedule with in-office and remote flexibility. This is a full time position but with some evening and weekend events, the Executive Director manages their own schedule. The Chamber is committed to inclusion and diversity and supports a workplace and opinions that are welcoming to all.
Compensation:
The position offers an annual salary of $70,000-75,000 and benefits that include 3 weeks paid time off, yearly performance bonus, and a flexible remote work schedule.
