    We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Principal Controls Architect to join our team and lead the way in shaping the future.


    As a Principal Controls Architect at HON IGS, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing control systems that drive the performance and functionality of our products.

    You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop cutting-edge controls solutions, ensuring that our products and complex solutions meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Lead the design and development of controls system, defining the overall architecture, data flow, and control algorithms.
    Standardize platforms across various controls products to support unified development process.

    Provide technical leadership to a team of engineers, guiding them in designing and implementing control solutions while ensuring best practices and industry standards are followed.

    Collaborate with hardware and firmware teams to integrate control software seamlessly with the underlying hardware components.
    Optimize control algorithms for efficiency and real-time performance, considering resource constraints and system limitations.
    Incorporate simulation / emulation methodologies to expedite development lifecycle and improve quality of end solution.

    Develop test strategy and oversee the testing and validation of control software to ensure it meets the required performance and safety standards.

    Maintain comprehensive documentation of control system designs, algorithms, and configurations.
    Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in control systems.

    Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, hardware engineers, and software developers, to ensure seamless integration of control software into customer projects.


    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
    10+ years of experience in designing and developing control systems in material handling industry.
    Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, C#, PHP, Python, or Java.
    Strong knowledge of control theory, real-time systems, and algorithms.
    Experience with embedded systems and hardware-software co-design.
    Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
    Strong communication and leadership skills.
