    Description
    Provides computed tomography imaging in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

    Reports to:
    Director Diagnostic Services and Imaging Supervisor
    Reviews patient history and physician's orders.
    Drag Edit DeleteEducates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
    Drag Edit DeleteWhen ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
    Drag Edit DeleteMonitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
    Drag Edit DeletePrepares equipment and supplies.
    Drag Edit DeleteImplements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.
    Drag Edit DeleteTroubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.

    Drag Edit DeletePositions patient and performs imaging procedure(s).Drag Edit DeleteAnalyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results.

    Drag Edit DeleteTakes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and
    repeating procedure.

    Minimum Education
    Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program - RequiredDrag Edit Delete
    Required Skills
    Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

    Certifications:
    Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved American Heart Association or American Red Cross training center must be obtained within 90 days of employment, if not current upon hireDrag Edit Delete

    Licenses:
    Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R) (CT).

    Registry Eligible New Hire; Cross-training staff or Transfer staff who are registered ARRT technologists will be considered and must acquire valid CT registration within 12 months of hire or transfer date.
