Our client is a pre-IPO oncology therapeutics company poised for rapid growth as they progress their lead candidate in the clinic to later stage development.

They are seeking an experienced Process Chemist to join their growing Pharmaceutical Development group in the Cambridge/Lexington area.

Reporting to the Vice President, the main function of this role is to establish robust manufacturing process for drug substance using both hands-on and strategic approaches and leveraging internal and external capabilities.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to;
Influence and guide the best route selection and development of chemical processes for drug substance manufacturing.
Serve as SME in process chemistry and primary data generator in the lab
Lead and/or mentor junior colleagues and leverage internal capabilities.
Identify, select, and manage external partnerships with CDMO organizations.

Qualified candidates will have PhD degree in Chemistry or related discipline and 6-10+ years of process chemistry industry experience in a therapeutics development setting.

Candidates with a MS degree and years of experience also welcome. Must have experience with scale-up, technical transfer, and cGMP manufacturing of Drug Substance to be considered.
