    General Summary of Position Responsibility:

    The Data Governance Managers coordinates the Data Governance and Patient Reported Outcomes (PRO) programs for the hospital. This position manages processes and controls to ensure data and data assets are managed adequately, data is fit for purpose, data creates value, and there is organizational trust in the data. The Data Governance Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of the data management strategies, data quality standards, practices, processes, and technologies. The Data Governance Manager facilitates the organizing and streamlining of the processes with which curated data are collected, shared, utilized, protected, cleaned, and stored and will be responsible for managing data flow, including the integrity, efficiency, and availability of data.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    1. Master's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Computer Science, Library Science, Information Science, or other relevant field.

    2. Detail-oriented individual who thrives in a collaborative team environment. Individual needs to be highly organized and possess the ability to multi-task. 3. Minimum of 3 years of data library/curation, compliance, research, data governance, or other related experience required. Prior experience working in a healthcare setting is strongly preferred.

    4. Ability to make effective decisions with a general understanding of Data Governance procedures and policies to achieve desired results and deadlines.

    5. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage projects and multiple priorities.

    6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Will be required to work frequently with staff at all levels of the organization including senior hospital leadership.

    7. Demonstrated knowledge or direct experience working with or managing various data repositories including research data.

    8. Knowledge of information technologies, standards, and best practices prevalent in digital or data curation. Familiarity with data management and preservation principles and practices.

    9. Experience documenting workflows and procedures.

    10. Knowledge of SQL databases and programming preferred.

    11. Excellent analytical ability, understanding of data management and data analysis.

    12. Strong problem-solving skills.
