Overview

Responsible for managing and administering Bulk Ingredients for the Cedar Rapids facility. To effectively support and continually improve the Quality and Food Safety Management System. This position is responsible for ensuring the appropriate food safety policies and procedures are utilized in the manufacture of products in order to meet regulatory, customer and consumer requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Driver of Food Safety Supplier Control programs, including but not limited to: Certificate of Analysis documentation), Third Party analytical submissions, Interpretation of analytical results, Corrective Actions as needed.
  • Leading and directing communication for sample submissions and shipping to customers.
  • Department owner for all SAP/PGT PO and invoice management
  • Supplies management and ordering for the department
  • Support to department food safety and quality programs data , analytics, file management and document control "
  • Lead process improvement of bulk ingredient analysis and reporting.
  • Track Analytical compliance per specifications, take immediate actions if results reported are noncompliant.
  • Monitoring SPA boxes for third party results.
  • Email and communicate Quaker COAs for all interested parties.
  • Ensure all cleaning activities are documented.
  • Track production schedules for Quaker COA creation.
  • Provide daily feedback to plant management as well as team members regarding analytical compliance, quality/ food safety, safety, and reliability issues.
  • Partner with co-manufacturing team to ensure timely results provided.
  • Work with direct manager to identify new opportunities for analytical compliance.
  • Verification activities for PRPs: Hygienic zoning, gluten free, allergen management, etc.
  • Manufacturing and audit data support.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $54,700 - $82,050.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with High School degree
  • Strong foundation in interpersonal communication concepts, specifically, written, oral, presentation, listening, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to lead team members, facilitate change, foster innovation, results, and manage timebound constraints.
  • Ability to effectively challenge status quo and provide open and constructive feedback to all levels of the organization. Ability to handle the "tough" conversations.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management and plant personnel.
  • Working knowledge in principals of Facilitation, Prioritization, Problem Solving skills
