    Dometic Marine's facility in Litchfield, Illinois is our main distribution center that manages the packaging and distribution of aftermarket marine and OPE industrial products.

    Product Manager is an integral member of the Product Management team dedicated to the division's organizational product lifecycle function for specific category of product lines. This exciting role focuses on the developing, planning, forecasting, and marketing of products at all stages of their lifecycles. The Product Manager's ultimate objective is to maximize sales revenues, market share and profit margins.

    Main responsibilities:

    • Identify, develop and lead product projects, using prescribed product development process, from conception to market introduction.
    • Manage the lifecycle of our existing offers, including additional developments, changes and sunsetting based on technology, market and customer requirements evolution.
    • Be the subject matter expert for the product categories assigned. Understand the product, uses, and applications while also keeping a firm understanding of the market segments, needs, size, trends, and price points.
    • Analyze industry trends and make recommendations to capitalize on such trends, identifying growth opportunities, such as services, products, acquisitions, and/or new paths to market.
    • Analyze and monitor competitor activities, product trends, pricing and customer environment to determine pricing, margin and profitability targets.
    • Develop and deepen relationships with dealers to gather information pertaining to products and changes to products.
    • Train internal and external customers on assigned product categories.
    • Define and update "Product Characteristics and Attributes" for databases used for catalogs, digital content and key customers.
    • Support the resolution of technical issues pertaining to current products.
    • Write, develop and implement content for various marketing collateral for internal and external customers.
    Requirements
    • Degree in an engineering, business or marketing discipline, or equivalent experience.
    • 3-5 years of product management experience with demonstrated success in identifying new market opportunities and launching new products (Preferred in the marine industry).
    • Experience with product lifecycle management processes utilizing a gated approach.
    • Outstanding project management and time management skills.
    • Solid financial/analytical skills - experience using data analysis to support and make business recommendations and decisions.
    Behavioral requirements:
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills including presentation/public speaking experience.
    • Mechanical aptitude; interest in the engineering/manufacturing processes of mechanical products such as automobiles or marine vessels.
    • Excellent working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word
    • Strong prioritization and organizational skills
    • The ability and willingness to commit to up to 10% travel schedule.
    • An enthusiastic, strategic, and collaborative outlook with the ability to influence others; a superb team player.
