- Contribute and write detailed research project plans and methodological SOPs that guide yours and other team members' laboratory activities.
- Small animal handling and dosing of test agents via various routes (IV, SC, IP PO).
- Perform tissue collection and blood collection (cardiac puncture and submandibular).
- Independently design studies and develop assay.
- Manage relationships with CROs and obtain data.
- Uses molecular and biochemical methods, including RNA isolation, qPCR, ELISA, WB. Experience in tissue sectioning, histology and microscopy is a plus. Occasional dissection of human brains for -omics analysis.
- Accurate and organized data entry, analysis, statistics, technical report writing, and presentation of experimental results to research groups. Experience with ELNs is a plus.

Experience Required:
BA in a scientific discipline with at least 5+ years experience or MS in a scientific discipline with at least 3+ years experience (Prefer 3 + years of industry or 6+ years of academia experience)
Compensation & Benefits at Verge Genomics:
Our target starting salary for successful US-based applicants for this role is $86,800 to $100,700.
To determine starting pay, we consider multiple job-related factors including a candidate's skills, education and experience, the level at which they are actually hired, market demand, business needs, and internal parity.
We may also adjust this range in the future based on market data.
This role is eligible for participation in our Annual Performance Bonus Plan (based on company targets by role level and annual company performance) and all employees are offered Equity, subject to the terms of those plans and associated policies.
