    Job Description

    POSITION PURPOSE

    Work with Edge, Application Development team, and Operations to develop, test or validate new hardware and systems are ready for introduction / rollout.

    SCOPE

    This position will support Edge (Hardware) team and Application Development team in the development of IoT solutions for Corporate Stakeholders.

    This position will also be responsible for validating the hardware, application systems, BOM, and other items needed to successfully rollout the IoT solution.

    In this position, the person will be the SME and support the Digital Ops and Supply Chain teams in the rollout of the IoT solutions.


    MAJOR / KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES


    • Test or Validate hardware, application systems, BOM, or other documentation using various tools and methods. Experience with setting up real/live environment simulations and managing the materials and resources to execute the activities will be required with one objective of this role. First assignment in this role will be the testing and validation of vision system setup process that includes testing and validating supporting processes like calibration checks, device management processes, maintenance, and other items that would be needed to allow the IoT solution to be rolled out to support hundreds of corporate Supply Chain sites.
    • Other assignments would be product introduction and reliability testing and validation activities like track and trace or other similar hardware.
    • Development of processes to ensure IoT solution is ready for rollout.
    • Communicate and collaborate effectively with Hardware and Software teams to ensure hardware, systems, and technical documentation is ready for rollout.
    • Become SME of IoT solution and communicate and collaborate effectively with Digital Operations and Supply Chain teams in the rollout of IoT solutions
    • Set up and test software for stock management, device management and maintenance management.
    • Evaluate requirements for diagnostic software for hardware setup, calibration, assembly, or other to ensure IoT solution if ready for rollout
    • Support vendor/3PL selection that will operate IoT solution sites when rolled out to the corporate Supply Chain.

    AUTHORITY / DECISION MAKING


    • Will have authority over test site activities and resources used to test and validate vision system solution set up process.
    • Be stage gate approver for IoT solution rollout readiness.

    QUALIFICATIONS


    • Experience in process engineering development
    • Experience on validation and testing of hardware/equipment prior to rollout.
    • Experience in device configuration and setup or appetite to learn.
    • Experience to work with cross functional teams in different time zones.
    • Experience Integrating or working with systems that manage or support hardware in the areas of device/part management
    • Excellent analytical and math skills
    • Can create technical documentation for the assembly, setup, calibration, and installation readiness of IoT hardware solutions
    • Can assembly, test and validate hardware according to given instructions and develop procedures to be shared with others
    • Must be willing to travel

    Desirable Qualifications:

    • Knowledge of computer hardware and camera assembly and configuration
    • Experience in managing resources like labor and materials to execute test of validation plans.
    EXPERIENCE


    • Bachelor's degree in engineering or field that directly relates to this positions activities.
    • 2+ years experience validating hardware and processes prior to rollout.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Must be able to communicate and maintain professional relationships with all levels of an organization, both internal and external.
    • Computer skills using Microsoft Office software. Excel, Word, PowerPoint Outlook
