Fulltime School Psychologist Fredericksburg Virginia

Position Type: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Grade Levels: K-12

Responsibilities:

• Conduct prehensive evaluations and assessments to identify students' cognitive, academic, social, and emotional functioning
• Interpret assessment results and provide remendations to support educational planning and decision-making
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement interventions and supports to address students' individual needs
• Participate in the development and review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
• Provide counseling and support services to students, either individually or in groups, to address social, emotional, and behavioral concerns
• Provide consultation to teachers and staff regarding behavior management strategies, classroom acmodations, and other mental health issues
• Monitor student progress and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and supports
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, evaluations, and services provided

Qualifications:

• Master's or Specialist degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
• Valid Virginia license to practice as a School Psychologist
• Experience working with children and adolescents in an educational setting
• Knowledge of best practices in assessment, intervention, and consultation in school psychology
• Strong interpersonal and munication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
