- Mentoring/skill coaching for Pl, budget, personnel management, change initiatives, etc. for team
- Participation in educational development and professional organization for self/encouragement of staff participation
- Oversight of staff educational programs
- Encouragement of evidence based research/practice
- Shared governance/Evidence Based Leadership communication
- Workgroup facilitation/collaboration to meet unit goals
- Performance appraisals of direct reports
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Texas.
- BSN required, MSN preferred.
- Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certification through American Heart Association. (If certifications are through American Red Cross, you will be provided time within first 30 days to complete AHA courses at our facility.)
- At least 5 years of nursing management experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in surgical nursing.
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Additional languages desirable.
- Basic computer knowledge.

This position oversees the execution of short and long term strategies to support organizational goals pertinent to the Baylor Scott & White- Sunnyvale campus, establishes and ensures compliance with standards of clinical care, and maintains accountability for staffing, quality, safety, service and clinical excellence throughout these areas.
Other responsibilities include assisting Clinical Managers with Evidence Based Leadership, supporting nursing professional practice, and responding to any patient or physician's complaints in an administrative leadership role.
