    This role involves producing and modifying design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans, and specifications for assigned projects. You'll work closely with project managers to perform research, development, calculations, design, and delivery. Applying engineering techniques, procedures, and design criteria for projects of varying size and complexity is essential. Leverage your technical knowledge, experience, and client relationships to assist in executing and evaluating project designs. Develop conceptual and detailed designs and calculations to support project execution using current drawing and technical tools, programs, and software. As a member of the team, you'll contribute to successful project delivery for a diverse range of projects for HNTB's clients.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Complete assigned work within the schedule and number of hours provided.
    • Assist in developing project specifications.
    • Responsible for developing discipline-specific engineering project elements/deliverables such as reports, designs, and plans.
    • Aid in coordinating and productivity of project team members.
    • Provide technical guidance to less experienced engineering project team members.
    • Work closely with other disciplines and on multi-discipline projects.
    • Perform quality control reviews of discipline-specific engineering project elements/deliverables.
    • Assist with coordination and planning of schedules, hours, and distribution of work within discipline.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 4 years of relevant experience, or
    • Master's degree in Engineering and 3 year of relevant experience, or
    • PhD in Engineering and 2 years of relevant experience

    Your Skills and Experience:

    • Omitting work processes by applying knowledge of effective ways to get things done with a focus on continuous improvement.
    • Independently progressing the majority of designs and tasks required of the discipline.
    • Exhibiting experience with Microsoft Office Suite, MicroStation, and/or AutoCad.
    • Exhibiting a thorough understanding of the application related to engineering, geometric, and algebraic principles.
    • Managing time, proactively forecasting, and communicating project development needs.

    Prefereed Qualifications:

    • Master's degree in Engineering
    • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification
    • Professional Engineer (PE) certification
