Material Handler

Pay Rate: $18-$22/hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Arrive on the plant floor before shift changes to communicate with the preceding Material Handler concerning materials, lot numbers, mold changes, etc. Ensure that totes, proper raw materials, and grinders are at the machine.
Keep the molding area clean, move all pallets from the machine, and place them in the staging area.
Keep dryers, hoppers, and grinders at a level to maintain production.
Ensure that the vacuum system is effectively loading the material into the hoppers.
Pre-dry material as needed. Assure that regrind percentages and concentrate ratios are mixed as specified.
Inform the Supervisor when raw material inventories are low. Place all unused materials in storage.
Make sure all full barrels of re-grind are weighted up, tagged, and logged in the log book and placed on the proper location on the staging rack.
Clean dryer and loader filters, hoppers, and grinders during mold changes or when needed.
Inform maintenance of any damaged equipment.
Label hoppers, grinders and dryers with the proper material identification and lot number.
Inform the Quality Department of any lot number changes before actual change.
Maintain cleanliness of material usage staging and box storage areas.
Complete material usage reports.

Qualifications, Experience, Education and Licenses:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Proficiency in understanding basic instructions and memos.
Strong communication aptitude, enabling effective interaction with colleagues and immediate supervisor.
Competence in performing addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with whole numbers.
Application of practical judgment and critical thinking capabilities for resolving challenges and being able to execute detailed written or spoken directives.
Recognition of appropriate safety protocols.

REFERRAL BONUS PROGRAM:

If you are able to refer a person we do hire, we can offer up to $250 for contractors after they are on the job for 90 days and up to $500 for direct hires after they are on the job between 90 days to 180 days , depending on customer payment terms.
