    Details:

    • Under the Supervision of the Ryan White Program Director, and in partnership with the Primary Care HIV Prevention Team, the Outreach Specialist will work to encourage engagement in care and support for PrEP services. Outreach Specialist will also work to promote education and awareness opportunities within the community.

    Education:

    • Associate's degree in Human Services or Health Care Field with two years' experience in the Medical Setting
    • High School Diploma with four years' experience in the medical care setting

    Knowledge and Skills:

    • Knowledge and experience in working with individuals at risk for HIV.
    • Ability to develop trust with individuals in the LGBT community.
    • Able to demonstrate an understanding of Stigma related to HIV.
    • Demonstrate the ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion.
    • Must be able to understand and follow written policies and procedures.
    • Demonstrate effective communication skills.
    • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
    • Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers.
    • Demonstrate ability to use office equipment and computer software.
    • Ability to be an effective patient advocate.
    • Demonstrate an understanding of the goals and mission of community health outreach and the community care system.
