- Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
- Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools, power tools, and reassemble equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.
- Assist in resolving problems, delays, and difficulties. Notify Supervisor if problems arise.
- Provide technical assistance on new or existing equipment.
- Troubleshoot machine tools and repair as needed. Qualify equipment for production run.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Three to five (3-5) years related experience and/or training in equipment maintenance in a manufacturing setting; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Related experience on diagnosing and repairing machine tools- CNC lathe, mill, screw machines, etc.
- High mechanical ability and aptitude.
- Must possess a working knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, welding, soldering, and other related skills.
- Occasionally lifting, pushing, pulling or carrying 21-50lbs.
