    Responsibilities


    We are seeking a Radiologic Technologist (PRN), internally referred to as our Radiology Tech I at Providence Medical Center a member of Prime Healthcare.

    Focus will be on conducting diagnostic X-ray procedures. This involves operating X-ray equipment to capture images of patients' internal structures for diagnostic purposes.

    An important role in assisting healthcare providers by producing high-quality images that aid in diagnosing medical conditions and formulating treatment plans for our patients.

    This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PRN.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

    * perform Diagnostic Radiographic or other procedures according to department protocols, while cross training as a CT Tech
    * responsible for ensuring that X-ray equipment is functioning properly and that images meet quality standards, which may involve performing equipment checks, calibrations, and troubleshooting as needed
    * interact with patients to explain procedures, address concerns, and ensure their comfort and safety during X-ray examinations
    * maintain accurate records of X-ray procedures, including patient information, images, and relevant medical history
    * stay updated on advancements in radiologic technology and participate in continuing education to maintain licensure and certification
    * operate radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images
    * maintain your Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) and Kansas State Board of Healing Arts license
    * other duties and responsibilities maybe assigned depending on department need and growth

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

    * registered in the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
    * state of Kansas RT licensure, or temporary permit issued by KS State Board of Healing Arts upon hire

    • ARRT-R designation
    * must be familiar with State and Federal regulations
    * current BCLS (AHA)
    * graduate of an accredited radiology technology program (accredited by JRCERT preferred)
    * proficient computer skills
    * one year of experience as a Radiology Technologist (preferred)

    * current CRT ARRT & Fluoroscopy permit
