Delivering mail and packages to homes and businesses requires a unique blend of physical stamina, communication skills, and attention to detail. USPS is seeking City Carrier Assistants nationwide who can work efficiently in various environments while maintaining excellent customer service.

About the Role

• To perform this role successfully, candidates must be able to lift up to 70 pounds frequently throughout their shift.

This position involves working outdoors in different weather conditions while navigating through residential areas on assigned routes.

Responsibilities

1. Lift or carry bags weighing up to 40 lbs as needed
2. Collecting sorted letters from letter carriers using a standard postal mailbox/bag program at offices post office facilities building mail collection/central delivery facility (MPO)
   
   
   
3. Maintain accurate records of deliveries made along designated routes ensuring timely completion of daily tasks; record any issues encountered during route maintenance such as missing/damaged items located enroute immediately reporting concerns before end-of-day with supervisor/key personnel employee/supervisor
   
   

   User Skills/Qualifications:-Physical stamina sufficient for frequent lifting (<65lbs)and long periods walking outside;-Teamwork & collaboration;
