    Description
    • Responsible for managing and executing on a portfolio of diverse real estate transactions and legal matters, primarily focused on drafting and negotiating commercial real estate lease documents and facilities-related contracts (leases, lease amendments/renewals, subleases, SNDAs, estoppel certificates, lender correspondence and approvals, construction project contracts, facilities management contracts, and other service contracts, etc.), letters of intent, term sheets and RFPs, confidentiality and service agreements, providing transactional legal advice, interpreting and providing advice on existing leases and other contracts.
    • Responsible to manage and execute legal strategy on resolving all potential claims/prelitigation matters and litigation involving property management, construction, and operations (including insurance claims and HR claims/litigation). Interpret the requirements of governmental agencies, laws, statutes, rules, regulations, and court decisions affecting the business and/or its assets in multiple jurisdictions; advise on new legislative and regulatory requirements and recommend changes to policies, processes, and operations as appropriate.
    • Advise the firm on the potential implications to their function/assets and any policy/practice amendments required as a result; ensuring these changes are communicated and implemented in a timely and effective manner.
    • Review and interpret contracts related to the operation and management of the Company's assets. Provide legal advice including assisting in administration of contracts and instituting compliance measures in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
    • Monitor all approved transactions of all projects to ensure the Company's compliance with its contractual obligations.
    • Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts, purchase orders, change orders, notices to proceed and other development and construction related agreements (i.e., interior design agreements, architectural and engineering agreements, etc.).
    • Monitor all approved transactions for the life of projects to ensure Company's compliance with its contractual obligations. Draft and review correspondence to and from vendors and contractors regarding on-going construction and development projects.
