- Research and resolve accounts payable issues and correct discrepancies with vendors.
- Review prepaids and fixed assets in BankTEL.
- Prepare and calculate mortgage commissions and distribute for approval.
- Resolve bank account and GL issues.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Obtain information for Board reports.
- Gather financial data and prepare financial reports for month-end and other projects as needed.
- Prepare appropriate general ledger entries and reconciliations.
- Serves as backup for other accounting staff.
- Assist Controller and other management with projects as assigned.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding all Bank financials and employment information.
- Proven accuracy with numbers.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to adjust to high volume periods.
- Ability to function effectively both independently and within a team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- General knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
- 5+ years of accounting experience required.
- 3+ years of Banking experience preferred.
