Job Duties
The Human Resource Generalist performs Human Resource activities to support agency strategies and needs in alignment with organizational objectives.
Human Resource activities include but are not limited to the following areas:
workforce planning, organizational development and effectiveness, succession development, total rewards (compensation and benefits), talent acquisition, EEO, employee relations, training, and employee transactions.
The successful candidate will collaborate with hiring managers to facilitate talent acquisition to fill vacancies in compliance with the THINK 50 initiative and will facilitate Onboarding and other employee development training.
The incumbent will be expected to work in all functional areas of HR including accepting FMLA, ADA and VSDP requests, Compensation, Employee Engagement, Retention, Benefits and Policy.
The incumbent will also perform HRIS duties to manage employee data, update personnel records, generate reports, and facilitate payroll processes in compliance with HR policies and laws.
