- Act as the main point of contact for employee concerns about the workplace
- Foster an environment where employees feel welcomed, valued, and secure
- Manage the performance review process for all staff
- Collaborate with managers and staff on performance discipline
- Address employee inquiries regarding benefits, payroll, and leaves of absence
- Coordinate new hire orientation and employee recognition programs
- Conduct exit interviews and oversee the termination process
- Ensure compliance with labor laws at various levels
- Contribute to strategic department projects
- Review and approve the utilization of temporary agencies
- Handle payroll reports and labor efficiency reporting
- Assist with benefits administration and invoicing
- Report on workplace incidents and workers' compensation claims
- Support HRIS/Payroll systems initiatives
- Other responsibilities as needed
- Previous experience as an HR Manager/Generalist (4-6 years); preferably in the logistics industry
- Bachelor's Degree in HR, Organizational Development, or Business Management
- Desirable certifications: PHIRA, PHR, or SHRM-CP
- Action-oriented with a focus on achieving results
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organizational abilities with multitasking capabilities
- Exhibit ethical conduct and trustworthiness
- Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred
