    Role

    Green Li-ion is at the forefront of innovative solutions in battery recycling, focusing on sustainability and cutting-edge technology to address the growing demand for responsible disposal and repurposing of battery materials. We are looking for a skilled Chemical Engineer to join our engineering team, who shares our commitment to environmental sustainability and technological advancement.

    Responsibilities

    • Preparing process documentation and operating instructions to ensure safe and efficient operations.
    • Creating essential engineering documents, such as Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Piping & Instrument Diagrams (P&ID), and Bill of Materials (BOM).
    • Collaborating with the engineering team to develop and apply new technologies aimed at enhancing our battery recycling processes.
    • Conducting environmental impact assessments and Hazard and Operability Studies (Hazop) to ensure compliance with environmental standards and safety regulations.
    • Travelling internationally to train machine operators, ensuring they are well-equipped to manage the recycling processes effectively.
    • Communicating effectively with EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contractors and customers to maintain clear and consistent channels of communication.
    • Assisting operators during the critical phases of start-up and commissioning of recycling facilities.
    • Planning and performing regular maintenance and troubleshooting of recycling equipment to minimize downtime and maintain high operational efficiency.

    Requirements

    • Diploma/Degree in Chemical/Environmental Engineering or a related field.
    • Demonstrated experience in understanding and utilizing engineering software for process design and analysis.
    • Ability and willingness to travel internationally as required.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, essential for effective team collaboration and interaction with international partners.
    • Prior knowledge and experience working with engineering tools such as AutoCAD, Visio, HYSYS, and ASPEN+.
    • A strong understanding of Process Flow Diagrams (PFD) and Piping & Instrument Diagrams (P&ID).
    • Experience with onsite commissioning and maintenance of fixed plant operations is a plus.
