The Quality Engineer is responsible for helping to maintain the quality management system, in addition to quality control, and supplier quality activities.
The successful candidate will be able to multi-task, prioritize workload, with excellent communication and computer skills, and possess technical knowledge in circuit board manufacturing processes and controls.
This position reports directly to the EEI Quality Manager.Shift:
1st Shift, Mon-Thurs, 7am - 5:30pm
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepare AS9100 FAI (First Article Inspection) reports for customer submission and approval.
Representative for Quality in the NPI (New Product Introduction) process.
Review supplier AS9100 FAI reports for accuracy and completion.
Lead MRB (Material Review Board) process.
Assist with monitoring calibration process.
Provide nonconformance data to procurement for supplier monitoring.
RMA (Return Material Authorization) Analysis.
Assists with external/internal CARs determining root cause of defects and corrective action implementation.
Perform Internal and Process audits.
Mentor other employees in QC methodologies.
Review applicable documentation from a broad range of reference materials including customer drawings and industry workmanship standards.
Education & Experience Requirements:
Minimum 4yr degree in electronics technology or equivalent
3-5 years' experience in Quality field
ASQ CQT, CQE, or CQA a plus
Working within ISO/AS9100 quality system
Experienced user of Microsoft office software applications including MS Word, Excel, and Power Point.
Knowledge of IPC-610, IPC-620 and J-STD workmanship standards.
Military/Defense products a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
Physically tolerate extended periods of sitting at a computer and keyboarding, frequent walking, occasional periods of standing and occasional lifting and carrying of up to 40 lbs.
