Job Summary

A 40-hour per week, Full-Time RN Assistant Director of Nursing position is available at Ark Healthcare and Rehabilitation at St. Camillus Center in Stamford, CT.

This role reports to the Director of Nursing and collaborates with the Medical Director to oversee a 124-bed facility.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Partner with facility leaders, physicians, local, state, and national agencies on activities related to infection prevention.
• Oversight of compliance with infection prevention procedures, epidemiology, industrial hygiene, and safety programs.
• Accountability for surveillance of healthcare-acquired and community-acquired infections.
• Monitoring and education on workplace safety.
• Participation in external reporting to DPH, and other post-acute-care specific quality organizations.
• Education of staff, volunteers, and medical staff regarding infection trends, outbreaks, and updates to infection control practices.
• Support and participation in the facility's QAPI, quality assurance, performance improvement process.
• Maintenance of current knowledge of infection control regulations and compliance with OSHA requirements.
• Evaluation of annual infection prevention goals and implementation of action plans.

Requirements:

• Current, valid State of Connecticut RN License.
• Current, Valid CPR/BLS Certification.
• Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
