    Vice-President, Accounting & Reporting

    Responsibilities:

    Direct reporting line to the Chief Accounting Officer/Group Controller.

    Supervise all accounting functions pertaining to the Companys Corporate segment.

    Manage internal and external reporting obligations for the corporate segment, ensuring compliance with GAAP and STAT standards.

    Develop and implement control frameworks and tactical process improvement strategies.

    Engage in the monthly close process, encompassing tasks such as preparing and reviewing detailed monthly and quarterly journal entries covering various financial aspects.

    Oversee account reconciliations and the consolidation process for financial statements, conduct variance analysis, and manage ERP maintenance, including G/L, cash management, fixed assets, and A/P, along with automating reports and disclosures.

    Maintain workpapers and documentation, assisting in the preparation of financial statements and related footnotes, including those compliant with US GAAP and regulatory requirements.

    Maintaining internal controls over financial reporting, liaising with external audit teams, and supporting special projects requiring expertise in insurance accounting, data analysis, and IT systems.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelors degree in accounting and 5+ years relevant accounting experience

    Public accounting/Big 4 experience preferred

    CPA designation required

    Strong technical US GAAP (mostly GAAP for this role) and Statutory basis accounting knowledge with experience preparing financial statements and footnotes

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills to develop and maintain internal and external relationships.

    Ability to work across department functions and locations, and work under strict deadlines in a fast-paced, team environment.

    Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP preferred, but not required.
