As a Director within the Client Service TV Group, you will join a team of experienced researchers who are dedicated to delivering actionable insights to top entertainment clients.
You will report to a Vice President in the TV Group and serve as the day-to-day manager on a variety of research projects including, but not limited to, pilot tests, concept tests, ad/creative tests, positioning studies, brand tracking, and focus groups.
You will work collaboratively with fellow client service team members, operations team members, third party vendors as well as clients on a daily basis.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Research Director will partner closely with the Vice President and will be responsible for the following:
Lead relationships with clients and anticipate their needs
Manage projects end-to-end, including: study and questionnaire design, proofing, working with other departments as needed to ensure success, tab specs, data analysis, report populating and writing, presentations, etc.
Supervise and lead the execution of project-specific operations to ensure high-quality deliverables, including coordinating activities with theOperations/Research
Solutions team
Synthesizing and write narrative-driven analysis
Advising and partnering with development team to build next generation products and dashboards
Tracking industry trends and keeping current on program and series, entertainment, pop culture, research, and media trends
REQUIREMENTS
Education
Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) in related field (business, communications, marketing, research, social sciences, etc.) is desired
Experience Requirements
5-9 years of relevant work experience (market research/consumer insights experience required)
Market research (syndicated and/or custom) experience in entertainment industry is preferred
Mix of vendor and client-side experience is a bonus

Strong interest in media and entertainment

Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and independently, and meet time-sensitive deadlines

Self-starter who gets things done well, regardless of challenges and hurdles
Critical thinker who can understand and solve complex issues
Never satisfied with surface answers, always wants to dig deeper and get to the core
Enjoys mentoring and coaching analysts and managers
Excellent Word, Excel, and Power Point skills; G Suite and Keynote a plus
Strong writer, with thoughtful data analysis and storytelling ability
Possesses presentation skills and dynamic/confident personality
Familiarity with statistical software (e.g., SPPS, etc.) a plus
