Job Summary
Lead the coordination, review and determination of undergraduate student institutional scholarships and grants. This position will interact on a regular basis with: faculty, staff, current or prospective students, other Institute departments, the College Board and other external entities. This position typically will advise and counsel: faculty, staff and current or prospective students. This position will supervise: assigned student staff.
Responsibilities
Job Duty 1 -
Analyze and review applicant information and supporting documents/data to determine eligibility for Institute financial aid including but not limited to establishing, implementing and maintaining eligibility requirements and institutional student eligibility calculations.
Job Duty 2 -
Assist in the development, delivery and administration of communication and programs related to institutional aid programs. Serve as primary liaison and subject matter expert in institutional need analysis and/or eligibility for Academic Units in the management and delivery of funds awarded for student financial support.
Job Duty 3 -
Assist the Associate Director and participate in tasks and responsibility assigned to the Scholarship & Fellowship Management Unit.
Job Duty 4 -
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Higher Education, Business Management or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Experience
Four to six years of job related experience
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
SKILLS
Experience in higher education setting of a similar size and type. Thorough knowledge and experience with Federal regulations of Title IV aid programs, state supported and institutional aid programs. Experience with Oracle based student financial aid information systems and MS Office tools Excel and Word. Ability to communicate proficiently verbally and in writing, effectively present information to large and/or diverse populations, and prioritize/manage tasks in a deadline oriented environment.
