    POSITION TITLE: Category Manager, MRO / EHS

    DURATION: 1 YEAR (Potential for extension and/or conversion to a perm role)

    Location: Durham NC HYBRID: Expected to be on site 2 days per week (flexible on location)

    Pay Range:$53.48/hr on W2 and $53.48/hr on W2

    Wish to consider building in the management of EHS (PPE) for the EU into previous responsibilities in line with changing business requirements and one supply chain.

    Job Purpose:

    To support the implementation and management of a comprehensive global sourcing strategy for Maintenance Repair Operations (MRO) and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE, ie Environmental Health and Safety (EHS)).

    This role will partner closely with the relevant Engineering EHS, Quality, Procurement, WREF and Supply chain teams to ensure the delivery of the benefits identified. It is also responsible for strategy deployment, supplier relationship / contract management and procurement governance.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Responsible for supporting global MRO / PPE spend of ?100 million annually across the Global Enterprise

    Execute and lead supplier contract performance, supplier relationship management programs and operational governance

    Support the implementation of Global procurement initiatives, such as Buying Goods and Services, Catalogues, contract review and supplier reduction

    Business partnering work collaboratively with EHS, Quality, WREF, site and central engineering functions, Supply Chain and the R&D teams, where appropriate, to support in the delivery of their objectives

    Coordinate with Site Procurement teams and the Shared Service Hub as defined by the Operating Model

    Manage sourcing events

    Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements

    Develop and embed processes and ways of working as they evolve

    Conducts and monitors negotiations across the applicable categories of spend

    Knows the sourcing and category management process and policies, with a strong handle on relevant market trends and context

    Good understanding of Site operational, engineering processes and procedures

    Awareness and adherence to risk/ regulatory/ compliance requirements

    Implements procurement strategies to maximize supplier leverage

    Researches, evaluates and selects suppliers

    Minimum Level of Education: University Degree - Procurement, Business, Finance - The role requires the ability to develop procurement strategies that align with the businesss needs. A strong understanding of business and financial analysis will facilitate success. Ability to communicate with senior Finance partners and stakeholders is required

    Minimum Level of Job-Related Experience: These are key roles in the Procurement organization responsible for complex sourcing and category management, working across multiple geographies, in and negotiating with external supply base on behalf of CLIENT:

    Demonstrated ability in managing categories is required, particularly with respect to developing & implementing strategies, stakeholder management and supplier relationship management

    Demonstrated experience in influencing strategy and managing across multiple geographies and supply chains

    Demonstrated experience in managing global/ regional projects

    5 years relevant Procurement and/or operational experience working in global or multi-regional Pharmaceutical, Consumer Healthcare or FMCG environment.

    Skilled negotiator adept at managing complex negotiations at management level with both external and internal stakeholders.
