- Assist in analyzing project specifications and requirements to determine costs and feasibility.
- Review blueprints, drawings, and other documents to identify project requirements and scope.
- Collaborate with senior estimators to prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment.
- Utilize estimating software and tools to develop comprehensive estimates.
- Research and source materials and subcontractor pricing.
- Prepare bid packages and assist in the submission of bids and proposals.
- Communicate with vendors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to obtain pricing and information.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of estimates and bid submissions.
- Assist in project budgeting and cost tracking throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support project managers and teams as needed during the construction phase.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Previous experience or internship in estimating or construction industry preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
- Knowledge of construction processes, materials, and terminology is a plus.
- Familiarity with estimating software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, PlanSwift) is a plus.
