- Directs and coordinates the purchase and installation of integrated robotic polishing equipment.
- Plans, initiates, and develops robotic pathing using simulation software or 3D cad equivalent software to simulate robotic process.
- Plans and initiates process changes in casting, machining, polishing, and injection mold departments to enable/enhance automation processes.
- Assist mechanical engineer in creating robust mechanical designs, fixtures, and tooling support.
- Participate in project kick-offs, design reviews and run-offs. An active participant providing technical and experienced feedback to improve projects in the different stages of the project lifecycle.
- Make recommendations to other functional areas to achieve quality improvements or lowering of design and manufacturing costs.
- Assist in developing outside vendors to capture data and provide useful analytics for process improvement and failure analysis.
- Develop and promote continuous improvement projects for both equipment and part processing.
- Create 3D models for equipment installation, work-holding grippers, and part presence equipment utilizing SolidWorks, and other software, as appropriate.
- Conduct FEMA and other analysis to achieve "right the first time" solutions.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
- 3-5+ years of Engineering experience within a manufacturing plant
- Previous SolidWorks/CAD experience
- Previous Robotics experience is beneficial
